The obligation is already live.
The EU AI Act isn't a future problem. Article 4 is law today, high-risk enforcement lands in 2026, and the penalties are not a rounding error.
The AI-literacy obligation applies now. No grace period, no SME carve-out.
Full obligations for high-risk AI systems take effect. Inventory and classification can't wait.
Maximum penalties under the Act for the most serious breaches.
If your team uses ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini, the obligation already applies to you.

Does the EU AI Act really apply to my SME?
Yes. Article 4 (AI literacy) has applied to every organisation that uses or provides AI since 2 February 2025 — there is no SME carve-out. If your team uses ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or any AI feature, the obligation already covers you.
What's the difference between the two tools?
The Inventory Tracker covers your AI systems — register them, classify risk, map obligations. The AI Literacy Kit covers your people — train and certify staff for Article 4. The Starter Pack is both, bundled.
What format are they, and will they work for me?
.xlsx workbooks + .pdf guides, delivered as a small .zip. They work in Excel 2016+, Microsoft 365, LibreOffice Calc, and import into Google Sheets. No macros, no VBA — fully editable. Dropdowns and conditional formatting work best in desktop Excel or LibreOffice.
Is this legal advice?
No. These are practical compliance aids, not legal advice. The EU AI Act is complex and your exact obligations depend on your role (provider / deployer), sector and the AI systems you use. For binding guidance, consult qualified legal counsel.
